Being a massage therapist in 2009 means job security that other professionals at this time do not have. I have been a massage therapist since 1992 and have seen the market turn upwards for all massage therapist.

Many people are turning to preventive medicine as they lose jobs and their medical benefits. As they use massage therapy to help reduce stress and cope with new loses. They are learning how massage therapy benefits them.

In turn when they get that new job with benefits they continue to use massage and reduce medical expenses. Rather or not we want to believe that our country has reached new beliefs on the benefits of massage. There is action that must be taken in the field of massage therapy.

The field is requiring more massage therapist to handle the demand of the public. The public is demanding massage therapy and they want educated massage therapist to do the massage work. The public wants to be educated on their bodies and they want insurance companies to aid in the expense of getting a massage.

With the public wanting and demanding this service it requires massage therapist to become educated in the health field to help these clients fight for benefits. Clients do not mind paying for the massage service because they know the benefits of massage. They also know that one day insurance companies will add massage as a benefit to their plans.

Massage therapy is in the health field and health care jobs are always on the raise. Many people join the massage field not realizing that they are professionals and educators of the human frame.

Our work is the touch essential of healthier bodies in the future. The field of massage needs career minded people that want to be health educators.
